Humility: The Hidden Key to Walking in Signs and Wonders

Welcome to our new blog. In the upcoming blogs I would like to share thoughts (to encourage you), from my new book Humility: The Hidden Key to Walking in Signs and Wonders, being released by Destiny Image Publishers June 2010. It is my  goal to send these blogs out weekly (depending on our travel schedule). In this blog I would like to share a couple reasons for writing this book.

Over the past 11 years, I have spent a great deal of time studying humility, and what I learned is one of my chief reasons for writing this book. During my studies, I have realized that much of what we call humility in the Body of Christ has been influenced by the traditions of people passed down from generation to generation. As we know, some traditions are good, and some are “not so good” because they do not line up with the Word of God. Jesus tells us in Mark 7:1-15 that some traditions make the word of God of no effect. That is one reason I have focused on the humility Christ talked about and walked in my upcoming book.

He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked (1 John 2:6). We should be walking in the same kind of humility Christ walked in if we claim to be in Christ.

As one who has paid much attention for many years to the different waves or moves of God throughout Church history (especially in the twentieth century), I have noticed several things. Most of those moves of God fizzled out within a short time, followed by another wave or move of God. Many from the earlier moves would persecute the ones in the new move of God. I wondered why so many of these various moves of God were short-lived. I noticed that in most of these movements an elitist attitude formed that suggested they were the only ones on the cutting edge of what God was doing. It very well may have been true, but I believe that arrogant attitude was the primary reason those movements fizzled out.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall (Proverbs 16:18).

In this book I share why I struggled in the early years of ministry and how learning about Christ’s humility has helped so very much. I share in this book about the biblical benefits of humility, such as prosperity, favor, and increase of the anointing for signs, wonders, and miracles. I also share how Christ’s humility has challenged Sharmila and I in our ministry and personal life and helped take us to new heights both in our personal lives and ministry.

We will share bits and pieces to show you how important this virtue is to our Lord Jesus Christ in being His ambassadors to this lost and hurting world. For your own viewing we have posted chapter one of my book on our website: www.markandersonministries.com

Randy Clark

Humility: The Hidden Key to Walking in Signs and Wonders is the best book I have ever read on humility, and it reveals the importance of humility’s relationship to spiritual breakthrough and revival. The book is like a diamond. Humility is the diamond, and Mark helps us see all the various facets of the diamond there were many, all of which I found very helpful.

I encourage you to read and pursue the truth in Mark’s new book, Humility: The Hidden Key to Walking in Signs and Wonders. You will be glad you did, and I believe you will be surprised by how much you learn about humility. I was.
